Art directed and led the VFX team on this campaign with director Jelle de Jonge, building over a dozen distinct worlds for Dutch actress Elise Schaap to inhabit. A hybrid workflow combining traditional VFX, live action, and AI, staying hands-on through the whole process, constantly crafting until each world felt right. Proud of the collaboration with Holy Fools, Bros & Sisters London, and every craft department that brought this to life.

BTS

We flipped the traditional VFX approach. Instead of standing around on set (with a bunch of green screens) with everyone holding a different picture in their head, we aligned vision in pre-production. We crafted moving backgrounds live on set that were pretty close to final, and stayed flexible in post to refine movement and add elements. When you capture real performances, lighting and textures in-camera, that quality carries through, because the talent, director and DP could respond to the background and vice versa. New tools to enhance rather than replace that foundation.

Holy Fools asked us back for the follow-up, with speed as the central theme. Art directed and led VFX on the cycling middle section and the carousel finale. The principle held: shoot the direction, styling and performance for real, then transform with the most modern tools. The performance you capture on set is what shines through in the end.
